Privacy Policy

Last updated October 16, 2026

Modula is a personal systems application operated by Ethan Truong. This policy explains how information is handled when you use Modula at modula.run.

Information we collect

When you sign in with Google, Google provides basic account information, including your account identifier, email address, name, and profile picture when available. We use this information to authenticate you, associate your saved data with your account, and provide support. Google sign-in does not give Modula your Google password or access to your Gmail, Calendar, or Drive contents.

We process information you enter into Modula, including systems, modules, AI requests, and feedback. Saved systems, module completion records, timestamps, and account access information are stored to provide the service. Feedback submissions include your account email and the details you submit.

How information is used and shared

We use information to operate Modula, generate and refine systems you request, save your work, show your run history, respond to feedback, and protect the service.

Supabase provides authentication and database storage. Vercel hosts the application and may process technical request information such as IP addresses and operational logs. When you use Mod, relevant prompts, conversation context, and system or module content are sent to OpenAI to generate a response. Avoid including information you do not want processed by these providers.

Systems are private by default. Authorized administrators may access information when needed to operate the service or respond to support requests. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to address abuse or security issues. These providers process information under their applicable terms and privacy policies, and processing may occur outside your country.

Cookies and storage

Modula uses cookies to maintain your authenticated session and complete sign-in. Browser storage may also retain interface preferences or local working state. Blocking or clearing this storage may sign you out or remove local preferences.

Retention and your choices

Saved account data is retained to provide the service until it is deleted or no longer needed. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and associated data by emailing ethan@modula.run. We may verify account ownership before acting on a request. Some information may remain in backups or be retained for security or legal obligations.

You can also revoke Modula's Google access in your Google Account settings. Revoking access prevents future authorization but does not itself delete data already stored in Modula.

Changes and contact

We will update this page when our practices change and provide notice of material changes as appropriate. Questions about privacy or your data can be sent to ethan@modula.run.
